I should have posted my progress, but I took a break from monitoring while on holiday. Although the week after I got Back, was the perfect mix of bad and good. I didn’t get to see the kids as much as I would have wanted, that’s really the only bad bit of last week, other than that it was pretty good in all areas!
I didn’t go for a run, but I did go on the exercise bike religiously 5 nights last week for 10km a time and I can really feel it in my legs, not in a bad way, but in a full of muscles and more able way.
I had a busy weekend with 2 nights out which is pretty much unheard of since having children, but it happened. Also at the end of the second day we had to leg it for the train and I didn’t feel like I was going to die even though it was a long jog after your whole day’s been gin and food. So different to the way I’d have felt even a month before. It’s good to feel good about yourself and your progress no matter how small because it really does make you happier about things knowing that you’re going in the right direction!
Going onto this week, I’m on level 6 now on the exercise bike, which is a big deal seeing as 8 weeks ago I was struggling with 10km of level 1!! Although only being on day two, my legs are killing me, all in a good way. Make a plan and stick to it. For so long I decided to sit and do nothing. A new box set or literally nothing. Make a plan, stick to it, keep moving and it does work. Slowly it’s working.
I’ve also decided only to do month updates from now on to try and have some real difference to record. I think the main thing is changing your thoughts and mindset and everything will fall into place. I’m feeling good and I’m not scared of doing exercise at 9pm now, whenever you have time is the best time to make it happen.
Exercise, try to eat well and get to a point that you’re full of energy, if you’re still a bit heavy, who cares, you’re almost there! That’s what I’m telling myself anyways.
